Bangalore–Mysore Expressway – Information & Status
119 km Bengaluru – Mysuru Expressway project on NH-275 is an under construction 6-10 lane access-controlled highway with a route alignment in Karnataka.
This mix of brownfield-upgrade (60%) and greenfield (40%) project was envisioned as an alternate to the now-scrapped Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (NICE) Road.
This project under Bharatmala Pariyojana (BMP) has a deadline of October 2022. It consists of 2 phases: 58 km Phase 1 between Bengaluru – Nidaghatta and 61 km Phase 2 between Nidaghatta – Mysore. It will have a total of 19 large bridges, 44 small bridges and 4 railway overbridges (ROBs) and 50 underpasses for vehicles and pedestrians.
Greenfield sections will form bypasses around Bidadi (7 km), Ramanagara-Channapatna (22 km), Maddur (7 km including 3.5 km of elevated highway), Mandya (10 km) and Srirangapatna (7 km). Toll booths will be built at Kumbalgodu and Srirangapatna.
